About the event

Back pain is one of the most common and debilitating conditions of our time. ELDOA of the SPINE (Level 1 & 2) — Longitudinal Osteo-Articular Decoaptation Stretches — is a revolutionary technique created by the late Dr. Guy Voyer DO that targets exactly that. Through precise, sustained postures that create fascial tension above and below a specific functional unit of the spine, ELDOA lessens compression and creates space between the vertebrae in a very targeted and specific way, giving relief to the tissues and nerves that live in between them.

In this 3-day certification Ilaria will work with you to explore all the ELDOA postures from C2-C3 all the way to L5-S1, covering the full spine. You will develop the anatomy and biomechanics knowledge behind each exercise, learn how to properly hydrate the tissue and build the critical thinking needed to treat every client for their specificity — because no two spines are the same, and no two sessions should be either.

Your clients will benefit whether they struggle with sciatic pain, neck problems or simply want to improve their wellbeing and performance. ELDOA of the SPINE (Level 1 & 2) is a powerful tool for runners, golfers and athletes of any level who want to move better and feel better. You'll also learn how to integrate ELDOA seamlessly into your Pilates practice to amplify and deepen the results you already get with your clients.

The direct benefits are well documented:

• Reduced vertebral compression

• Spinal disc rehydration

• Improved circulation

• Increased muscle tone and body awareness

And the indirect benefits go further. The body is not only muscles, joints and ligaments but also glands and internal organs, all connected to the spine through nerves and fascia. Since every function in the body relies on nervous system impulses from the spine, a healthier spine means better overall health — physically, and beyond.

Recommended for Pilates and Yoga instructors, physical therapists, fitness professionals and athletic trainers — anyone who works with bodies and wants to offer their clients something that truly addresses the root of the problem.
